as a post-pandemic travel destination
Around this time of the year, tourists would go hunting for Northern Lights hoping to live the experience of a lifetime. In 2020, just like the rest of the world, Iceland has seen an unprecedented downturn of the tourism flow.
However, the country is wisely getting ready for a comeback in the travel charts after the pandemic. More than $20 million were spent improving infrastructures, promoting tourism and providing travel vouchers to residents.
The aim is to boost national tourism while getting ready to receive international visitors again. With its wide landscapes and outdoor activities, Iceland will definitely be a gorgeous and safe destination to put on the post-pandemic bucket list!
